Typewriter Dispatches 01/02/25

Last year I purchased a typewriter after wanting one for many years. It was a 1953 Olympia SM3 Typewriter - Pica with an olive green color from haddontool2p66 on eBay who was an excellent help with some troubleshooting due to the shipping. I’ve wanted to do something involving the typewriter for awhile. For its first year it was mainly a replacement journal. Now I may use it for more blogging-style dispatches of whatever’s on my mind.

Presenting a typewritten page digitally will also be an interesting problem to try and solve as well. My phone has a “scan document” option which is what I used this time. It saved it as a JPEG image file with 2754x3572 pixel resolution. I may also use my work scanners to save as a PDF or other file type to be uploaded. We will see.

I didn’t realize the paper was becoming offset due to running up against the monitor so that is why the last paragraph is so weird. Anyway, enjoy1!
